semi-colon - A stylistic mark that is never necessary: takes place of a comma or period.

uses: 1) to join two or more closely related sentences
2) to connect interrelated ideas or thoughts
3)a semi-colon may replace a comma to separate items of a list when additional commas may confuse the reader

in these past few pages, Montag became quite worried with the strange disappearance of Clarrise Mclinnin. during  conversation with his wife, she revealed to him that she had heard Clarrise was fatally hit with a car and her family had moved. these unfortonate series of events lays out a few large questons: is that really what happened? Did the government have anything to do with it, considering her otherworldly views on how and where they live? what are you gonna do with that big fat butt?

Montag becomes stuck on the concept of how meaningless his marriage is. He knows little of anything about mildred, his wife. All they seem to do is occupy space the other leaves vacant. Montag stole a book referred to it as poison, as he gripped it in his hand. He began to cry when thinking about the book, and then thought of how terrible it was that he wouldn't of cried of Mildred died.  He had been trying to think of where he had met Mildred, but couldn't quite put a finger on it. when he was crying and Mildred asked him what was the matter, his rebuttal was the same question he kept failing to answer in his head, "where did we first meet?". Mildred laughed when she couldn't figure it out. she then said that it didn't matter much anyways, took a shower, and began  popping pills like they were candy and she some sort of disorder which would cause someone to eat a lot of candy. (great analogy, i know.) Romantic relationships are based on the idea of love, and each other being the key to happiness. Mildred and Montag have close to a negative effect on each other, and Montag is finally starting to realize that nothing he has with her is real. this upsets and frightens him, since he's beginning to uncover this larger picture of nothing in the world he lives in is real, its all just an abstract disarray of lies, sleeping pills, and unquestioned government power, all stuffed into one melancholy world.  

Montage was at unease when Clarisse didn’t show up to walk with him. A man was taken to an asylum simply because he had owned a library. A lady committed suicide via arson after the firemen drenched her books with kerosene. The firemen said that Benjamin franklin was the first fireman, and in real life he did start the first fire station.

Proboscis - noun) the nose of a mammal, especially when it is long and mobile, such as the trunk of an elephant or the snout of a tapir.

There was a mechanical hound which euthanized creatures with morphine, Guys views began to change, as he begins to ponder upon the peculiar absence of the common age. Guys last name means Monday, and his wifes last name means Sunday. 

Dictum - noun) A formal pronouncement from an authoritative source. The prime ministers dictum declared the surrender of the nation
Mausoleum - noun) housing or tombs. There was a Mausoleum behind the church that is over 100 years old.
